Staying Human in a World That Gains Meaning Through Connection
Those using AI for individual advantage appear to be winning. In fact they are only accelerating the process — not changing the game.
Let us say it plainly: those using AI for individual advantage appear to be winning. In fact they are only accelerating the process — not changing the game.
The real shift is elsewhere. The world no longer runs on who knows the most, or who is strongest. It runs on who connects best.
The reflex to own is exhausting
Those advancing on the reflex to own everything will tire soon, because you cannot own everything and you cannot know everything. But if you connect with the right people, the right systems, at the right time, everything can flow toward you.
Think of flocks of birds. None is strong alone. Together they are flawless.
Perhaps this is the essence of it: not growing alone, but making meaning together.
The real question is purpose, not opportunity
AI offers us an opportunity: to close our gaps, move faster, produce more. But that is not the real question. The real question is: what will we use this power for?
Because here is the truth: knowledge is now cheap and intelligence is accessible. Wisdom is still rare.
And wisdom is not what you know. It is how you combine it, who you share it with, and what purpose you use it for. That also explains why the top step of the DIKW pyramid has not been automated: data, information and knowledge scale — wisdom is relational.
Reality is less fixed than we assume
The Matrix, Inception, The Truman Show — all whispered the same thing: reality is not as fixed as you think, and you are far more influential than you believe.
Perhaps that is why, despite being a small piece of the universe, the magnitude of the meaning we create can be limitless.
My own decision
- I will close my gaps
- I will build connections
- I will grow stronger together with others
- I will stay human
The AI era is not a technology revolution. It is the beginning of an age of making meaning together.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if AI is used purely for individual advantage?
The process accelerates but the game does not change. The world no longer runs on who knows the most or who is strongest, but on who connects best. Those advancing on the reflex to own everything tire quickly, because owning and knowing everything is not possible.
If knowledge is cheap, what is valuable now?
Wisdom. Knowledge has become cheap and intelligence accessible, but wisdom remains rare. Wisdom is not what you know — it is how you combine it, who you share it with, and what purpose you use it for.
Why has the top of the DIKW pyramid not been automated?
Because data, information and knowledge scale, whereas wisdom is relational. How meaning is combined, who it is shared with and what purpose it serves is a matter of connection rather than computation.
What is the AI era actually the beginning of?
Less a technology revolution than an age of making meaning together. Like flocks of birds: none is strong alone, yet together they are flawless. The point is not growing alone but producing meaning collectively.
